Notes on Measurement

Volume - amount of space an object takes up

       * measured by a ruler or a graduated cylinder.
                    typical units of measurement for volume are mL and cm3
                     *1cm3 = 1mL


Mass - amount of matter ("stuff") in an object
     
      * measured by/with:  scale/balance 
                   typical units of measurement for mass [ "g" (grams) ; "kg" (kilograms) ]

    mass after - mass before = change in mass
